Welcome to the Virtual 65th Annual Meeting home page!

We love our in-person meetings; however, Chapter leadership determined that COVID-19 would make an April 2021 in-person meeting impossible or unlikely. So we shifted gears and planned a virtual event! We were pleased to offer high-quality education and networking opportunities that our technologists and physicians are accustomed to receiving.

Physician (AMA PRA Category 1) Credits™
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Inc. (SNMMI) and the Southwestern Chapter SNMMI. The SNMMI is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Inc. (SNMMI) designates this live activity for a maximum of 18.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

VOICE Technologist Credits
The SNMMI, through its Verification of Involvement in Continuing Education (VOICE) program, has approved this meeting for a maximum of 18.0 continuing education hours (CEHs). VOICE-approved credit is recognized by most licensure states and by the NMTCB and ARRT as Category A credit. Participants will receive CE credit for those sessions at which they were present a minimum of 80%.

Continuing Physicist Education
This educational activity is approved to grant Medical Physics Continuing Education Credit (MPCEC) by the Commission on the Accreditation of Medical Physics Programs (CAMPEP). This activity has been approved for a maximum of 18.0 credit hours.

Continuing Pharmacy Education
The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Session UANs start with 0210-9999-21-140-L04-P and end with 0210-9999-21-160-L04-P. Topic designations and descriptions are: L01=Disease State Management/Drug Therapy; L04=General Pharmacy Topics; L05=Patient Safety. Sessions within this activity have been designated as knowledge-based and application-based CPE for Pharmacists. Total available credit for pharmacists is 18.0 hours or 1.8 CEUs. Release Date: April 15, 2021 Expiration Date: April 18, 2021.

Grievance Policy for Continuing Pharmacy Education
The SNMMI has the following grievance policy in place concerning continuing pharmaceutical education: If participants are not satisfied with the program, they must submit a complaint no later than 90 days after the program. Participants should state in detail why the program attended was not satisfactory. If participants feel that the program was misrepresented, they should state this clearly. (Please note that not meeting the objectives does not always warrant a refund.) The complaint is then forwarded by the SNMMI to the course organizer. The organizer then carefully reviews the complaint and if necessary, contacts the author of the complaint for further details. The organizer then decides whether the complaint is strong enough to deserve a refund. The organizer then reports their results to the SNMMI. If a refund is issued, it excludes the processing fee of the registration.

SAM (Self-Assessment Module) Sessions
Each 1-hour sessions has been qualified by the American Board of Radiology and approved by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR & ABNM Maintenance of Certification Programs. Those eligible to gain SAM credits will be provided with questions and answer opportunity via the SNMMI’s CE Learning Center while claiming the other CE units.

Attendance Verification Rules and Procedures
The SNMMI is required to verify Technologist attendance at accredited presentations. Each Technologist attendee will be directed to an online Attendance Reporting Form. Near the beginning of each presentation, a 4-digit code will be provided; then near the end of each presentation, a different 4-digit code will be provided. At the conclusion of their attendance, each person will complete the online Attendance Reporting Form, inserting the first and last codes of each session they attended. This data will be merged with their registration data and provided to the National SNMMI, which will then send an email inviting you to claim your credits.

Those who are not technologists, may simply place an “X” to indicate which sessions the attended.
